Founding Member Waterside Law LLC

I am an "old new attorney".  I graduated from the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law in May 2025, and was admitted to the Alabama Bar in September 2025. The picture is of my wife of 31 years, Dede and I at graduation in May 2025.

I graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a BS in Agri-Business in 1992, Texas A&M University-Texarkana with a MBA in 1999.

From 1993 until 2025, I worked in various leadership roles with mining and manufacturing companies, including Operations, Sales, Logistics, and Procurement.

I served in the Arkansas Air National Guard from November 1988 to February 2009.  I retired as a Major and am a veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom, with two deployments to Iraq in 2003 and 2004.

I volunteer with the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program as I truly believe in their mission to serve those in need.

Our vision at Waterside Law LLC is to operate with discretion, create value for our clients, and build strong relationships with our clients and the community.

Julie J. Anton Esq.

Partner at Waterside Law LLC

People say that I have lived a thousand lives. Before I became an attorney, I opened a brewery in Atlanta, worked at a marketing firm in Seattle, trained Olympic Weightlifters in Jacksonville, and even wrote a Christmas film for Amazon.

In 2021, I decided to go to law school, and in 2025, I graduated from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University. While in law school, I was a member of the Women’s Legal Society, Phi Alpha Delta, and a Research Fellow for the National Agricultural Law Center. I was a summer intern at the Middle District of Alabama Federal Defenders Office. I also won the 2023 Greg Allen Moot Court Trial Competition.

I am an active member of the Mobile Bar Association, the MBA Women Lawyers’ Group, and a volunteer and board member of the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program.

As a partner at Waterside Law LLC, I provide thorough and success-driven legal services, cultivate valuable relationships with our clients and our community, and commit myself to a lifetime of learning and growth in the legal profession.
